I came across this article on D&D Beyond this morning and it has me thinking.
The entertainment business is about making money. The success of the Critical Role fundraiser demonstrates that there is a significant market for this sort of project. It may suggest that Hasbro may well be able to get a big entertainment company to fund a big budget film. With the success of Game of Thrones, Avengers and many other “nerdy” franchises via Netflix and Amazon Prime, this just gives WoTC a bigger argument to sell a full on movie, perhaps a season of a show.
I hope they manage it. I really do.
