I ran my Swords and Wizardry game yesterday via Skype. I’ve been distracted this past week with both good things and bad things. My 16th wedding anniversary, Virtual Gary Con and then there’s that other thing going on.
I was not well prepared for the game this week. I found it difficult to focus when I sat down to work. I did manage to figure out some free drawing software that is relatively easy to use and was able to make it work for the game. As a result, I stumbled through the session and while we had a good time, there wasn’t much that I think anyone not at the game will find very interesting. I’ll make this report short and sweet.
The Kompanions found a guide who took them to a master smith on the Street of Artificer in Nightside. They wanted to know where they could get adamantium. They recalled that the dwarves back home might have a line on the stuff. The party will have to go back to see what they can find out. The adventurers explored most of a dungeon level. Met lots of weird creatures, which they killed with fire and sword. They suffered some damage, a bit of it self inflicted, and hauled away treasure.
This morning I got up closer to my usual time. I wrote in my journal and did some self reflection. I got my head right and next week will be better.
Stay safe. Go forth (or stay in as it may be) and be worthy!
